These Mindful Movements classes are very simple (deceptively so) and combine the principles of mindfulness meditation with the ancient art of qigong (chee-kung). They have a way of bringing calm and centeredness and a profound body awareness that you can carry with you throughout the week. Both meditation and Qigong are proven to help reduce anxiety and pain. No experience is required and no floor work is involved. You can even stay seated if and when standing is a challenge for you.
Whatever you are aiming for — peace of mind, weight management, pain relief, inspiration, more energy, light-heartedness, hope, prosperity, connectedness, or spiritual growth and enlightenment — the power of meditation and qigong plus additional energy work will bring results. The classes are suitable for men and women, young and old, and the physically challenged. Also a great balancer for those who are very physically fit and strongly into exercise and sports.
I enjoy giving these classes so very much and each week I bring to the class new things to share from the world of Energy Medicine as I continue to learn myself. I invite you to join me on this journey of health and happiness and ask for no payment, since it is such a “labour of love” for me, and I don’t want finances to prevent anyone from participating. A few participants have asked me for a value guideline for the class. The going rate would be about $15.
