An Holistic Approach
The most powerful healing involves the whole person – physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Using Energy Medicine techniques in combination with traditional psychotherapy methods, I tune into clients, to help them open up problem areas and find their unique recovery path. It’s never too late to improve your life!
Dr. Mehmet Oz, M.D. reports that: “Energy Medicine is the medicine of the future”, and many of us are already there, utilizing subtle energies in and around us to treat all manner of disease. My holistic approach combines this with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), the principles of psychoanalysis and the re-discovered Law of Attraction.
Techniques for healing include:
- Advanced Energy Work
- Focused Listening
- Deep Relaxation & Meditation
- Guided Visualization
- Regression & Re-imprinting
- Trauma/Healing Drawings
- Meridian Tapping (EFT)
- Vibrational Tools
Self-empowerment comes when clients are co-consultants in their therapy process. When people participate fully in the healing and counseling process, they learn new tools and skills that last a
Tuning In to the specific energy level of a client is a major part of my approach. I sense the energy on three progressive levels of need. First is the need for comfort: unless the pain is eased, the bleeding stopped, the injury acknowledged, the boo-boo kissed so to speak a person who is hurting will be unable to move forward to the next level of healing. At this second energetic level the work of mending the injury, healing the wound can move very quickly. In holistic therapy we aim for transformation of the trauma, the loss, the injury (physical or emotional or spiritual) to a new kind of normal. By tuning into the clients level of recovery need, the work moves fwd more effectively. Only after the healing do we focus on change: the energy level is high, the future is hopeful and the client is ready to explore and experience new ways.
I call this model the Hierarchy of Recovery Needs: first Comfort, then Healing, then Change: an Energy-Based Model.
