Free Intro Class

Consider a FREE class in Qigong-based Mindfulness Meditation. Give it a try and test the results for yourself. Just email me at <info@spaceforspirit> and I will forward you a Zoom link for the LIVE class.

You can consider it a risk-free introduction to my Fall “Mindful Qigong” Series. Totally accessible and non-intimidating, these classes are designed to connect you with the rhythm of your own breath and to tune into your own body releasing you from the habit of striving and judging to simply enjoy the experience of spending time with yourself, home-to-self.

This free virtual class is offered Wednesday October 20th at 10.00 a.m. It is open to all ages and all levels of fitness or health. You may email me to book a phone consultation, and I welcome your emails with any questions you may have. OR just come onto the introductory class for a no-risk trial experience. My 8-week Mindful Qigong (Chi Kung) Fall series starts October 27th, also Wednesdays from 10.00 – 11.00 a.m. for only $88, so let me know if you are in!

Join a class to experience the joyful benefits of simply paying attention to your body and your breath — benefits like more energy and less stress, relief of pain and improvement of all body functions for overall wellbeing!

Virtual classes are offered Wednesday and Saturdays at 9.30 a.m.

The hour is divided into three 20-minute sections, so you can drop in and join for as long as your schedule allows. A video is available for the week following each class.

Fees are $40 for the 4 Wednesday classes, $50 for the 5 Saturday classes OR $80 for all 9 classes. Another option is $12 per individual class. If you take one class and then wish to register for the rest of the month, you may apply the $12 against the monthly fee.

St Vincent Park Wednesday Mornings

Join us for a FREE and EASY exercise/meditation class in one of Barrie’s most beautiful parks with shade trees and water views — and nice new washrooms. St Vincent Park is between Kempenfelt Drive and Blake Street at the south end of St Vincent Street.

We gather at the south end at 10.00 a.m. every Wednesday morning, weather permitting.  Open to one and all, with the only requirement being respect for maintaining social-distance from anyone not in your immediate household or bubble.  We call the practice Mindful Qigong which brings together the easy movements of healing Qigong with the principles of Mindfulness Meditation. Your Ageless Life: An Evening of Comfort and Joy

Barrie Ageless Life Monday – BALM

Monday, December 9, 6.30 – 9.00 p.m.

Life is an ever-changing spiral of light and darkness, expansion and contraction. Especially at this time of year you may be feeling these contrasting pulls, with memories from before, and decisions coming up that want to be resolved. Join Lynne and a group of like-minded women to let go of the issues that drain your energy, and find ways to create more joyful moments that build and sustain body, mind and spirit.

Bring a journal and wear comfortable clothes. If you wish, bring an unwrapped item for “potlatch” that will go into a basket anonymously: Gently used items like a scarf or brooch, jar of homemade jam, a book or candle, any little treasure that you are ready to pass on.

Tea will be ready by 6.15 and I hope to start and end in good time. To reserve your place, please send $25 by etransfer* to my email address, or mail or drop a cheque to S. Lynne Marshall**.

Already feeling the sense of fun and fulfillment that we will create together in this the first BALM (Barrie Ageless Life Monday).

Mindful Qigong – All Ages

Weekly Drop-in Classes: All Ages (9 years and older)

This easy and relaxed class brings big benefits for your individual needs: stress relief,  pain relief, more energy, balance, spiritual centering, awareness and joyfulness.

NO CHARGE for these classes. Donations are welcome and 50% goes to Grace United Church that provides space for so many community programs!

 You will find  a sense of peace and well-being, through proven methods that combine the principles of Mindfulness Meditation with the ancient art of Qigong (Chi Kung). Laugh and learn for fun and wellness. Any fitness level, can even be done seated. Simple, yet amazingly effective!

My mission is to share the tools that have supported my own recovery journey and that are key to maintaining my health and energy. I love sharing the sense of empowerment and well-being that can be gained with a few simple exercises. Give it a try, it may work for you. Leading this group with my husband, Brian, is a highlight of my week.

Reinvention: Six Weeks to a More Meaningful Life

A life-Changing Experience! Scheduled over six weeks with personal coaching sessions and four day-long workshops. 

You are Unique! Perhaps you’ve thought about reinventing yourself and adding a new chapter to your life story.I have done it myself with great success and am now inspired to provide the opportunity for other women to experience the vitality and freedom that comes from doing more of what you love and less of what you don’t.

This course consists of four workshops, scheduled bi-weekly, each one a key step towards renewing and recreating yourself: 

1) Rediscovering who you are 2) Finding out what you really want, 3) Exploring how to attract and achieve what you want, and 4) Manifesting now – through action and attraction! The series is spread over 6 weeks, with time between workshops for individual coaching and personal study.

The group is small enough for meaningful interaction and personal support. If you are ready for a change, large or small, this is the time and place to make it happen! Course graduates have changed jobs, relationships,homes; launched creative pursuits, and grown their businesses. You may want a more active, busy lifestyle; or on the other hand, fewer obligations and more time for yourself! Here you will find a safe supportive environment and a team to go with it. No need to go it alone.

The Reinventing Course is built on my many years of professional experience as a training consultant, counselor/healer, and group facilitator; and more importantly on my own journey of personal survival, growth and reinventing myself. It will include innovative applications of tools and methods that will keep the work exciting and effective, as well as interesting homework and individual coaching to keep you on the path between sessions. I will bring to it my boundless enthusiasm and heartfelt commitment.

The course will run this fall, when 6 -8 women are interested and ready:) 

Total investment of  $490 ($450 for early-bird registration).
